Dwight McIntyre, County Treasurer
Dwight McIntyre was Elected County Treasurer in 2008. As Ogemaw County Treasurer, Dwight oversees office personnel and procedures as well as the investing of surplus funds of the County, maintaining adequate cash flow, managing the General Ledger, and working with the Auditors on annual Audits. Dwight works directly with the Budget and Finance Committee of the Board of Commissioners to form a budget each year and forecasts revenue projections, maintaining debt service accounts for bonded indebtedness.
The OGEMAW COUNTY TREASURER’S OFFICE is located on the 1st floor of the Ogemaw County Building on Houghton Avenue. Listed below are some of the major functions performed by our office: *Collect delinquent property taxes *Sell dog licenses *Receipt in all revenue from other Departments, the State and the Federal Government as well as other sources *Maintain the County’s General Ledger *Handle the forfeiture/foreclosure process on delinquent parcels *Reconcile all bank accounts and investments *Invest surplus funds of the County |

211.44 Collection of taxes; mailing, contents, forms, and expense of tax statement; failure to send or receive notice; time and place for receiving taxes; property tax administration fees; return of excess; cost of appeals; waiver of interest, penalty charge, or property tax administration fee; use of fee; cost of treasurer's bond; enforcement of collection; seizing property or bringing action; amounts includable in return of delinquent taxes; distributions by county treasurer; local governing body authorization for imposition of fees or late penalty charges; annual statement; taxes levied after December 31, 2001 on qualified real property; definitions.

Credit/Debit Cards
The Ogemaw County Treasurers Office now accepts credit/debit card payments towards property taxes (delinquent & forfeiture only) and dog licenses through a service provided by Government Payment Service. To pay by debit/credit card, you must call 888-604-7888 or log onto www.govpayexp.com (This will direct you to the GPS website).
The following information is needed when making a payment: 1. Amount that is owing if you are paying taxes in full or Amount of dog license. 2. Pay Location Code: 5932 (for taxes) or Pay Location Code: 5933 (dog license) 3. Eleven Digit Parcel Number if paying property taxes or Dog’s Name, Dog Owner’s name if paying for dog license. 4. A valid MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover. Please note: When charging your credit card, GPS will add a service fee to the payment amount due.
