Geographic Information System Fees
Purpose The Ogemaw County GIS fee schedule is established in accordance with the Ogemaw County Enhanced Access Policy, as required by State of Michigan Public Act 462 of 1996. Definitions As used in this schedule, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated: CD – Compact disc; optical media used to store digital data. EXPORT FORMAT – A form of an original digital data set generally used to transfer data to different computer operating systems or computer applications. PREMADE MAP – A map available in paper or digital form in advance of a request. PROGRAMMING TIME – Time spent developing a map, filling a GIS data request, changing a data format, or similar requests. Assessment of fees The fees for geographic information system (GIS) information and services are as follows: A. GIS Digital Vector Data
Full Municipality (township) orders: $0.25 per parcel/polygon. Price includes all parcel lines and any annotation (dimensions, lot number, parcel number, acreage or bearings) and attributes (owner information). Entire County order (excluding cities): $0.15 per parcel/polygon. Price includes all parcel lines and any annotation (dimensions, lot number, parcel number, acreage or bearings) and attributes (owner information). There are 28,000+ parcels/polygons for Ogemaw County. (Please note that all GIS data is maintained in and exported as ESRI’s ArcView (.shp) shape file format only.) A Data Sharing Agreement must be signed prior to the release of any digital data.
B. Tabular Data $50 per megabyte rounded to the next highest $5.
C. Programming time: $15.00 per quarter-hour; $15.00 minimum. This fee does not apply to Ogemaw County’s GIS software’s native export format or to premade maps. D.
